David Wright, Carol Day #2290-2294, 5 Originals From Cousin Hugo, No Reserve:
$527

Here are 5 consecutive dailies from Cousin Hugo, the twenty fifth Carol Day story. The strips are #2290-2294. The story ran from October 1963 through February 1964.

In this sequence, Hugo’s partners realize that he has put some of the money from the robbery in circulation, thus endangering them all, so they order Hugo to come to London and bring the money so they can “take care” of him. This sequence features all the main characters of the story: Vernon Flowers, the boss of the gang, Hugo, Carol, Joe Wilson, and the African sculpture where Hugo has been hiding the money.

Size of each is about 19 inches by 7.75-8 inches, depending on how closely the board is trimmed to the art. Image size is consistently about 4.875 by 17 inches. Dialog balloons are pasted up and show some minor staining, and there is a bit of minor damage to a few dialog balloons, as you can see in the scans. Overall this group of strips is in very good condition.

If you want to read the story these examples are from, Cousin Hugo is available as an ebook on all Amazon sites worldwide for $2.99 or the equivalent in Euros or British pounds. It’s best using the Kindle app on the iPad (or another tablet) or Amazon’s Cloud Reader on a Mac or Windows PC, but it’s certainly enjoyable on the Kindle.

Postage is $25 in the US by priority mail, with delivery confirmation and insurance. Out of the US postage is $60 for Express Mail. Paypal only. I apologize for the high shipping costs, especially for out of the US buyers, but now that charges their % on top of shipping costs, I have to charge this much to break even. and paypal charges cost about $8 on an out-of-US order.
