Dept 56 Dickens Village 2002 The Daily News Small Flaw Please Read:
This sale is for 2002 Dickens Village Series "The Daily News." It has been displayed. It is in good condition I found no chips or cracks on the building. The building measures 7 1/2 inches high x 5 inches long x 4 1/2 inches wide. The Hackney stand sign that fits into the side of the building HAS BEEN BROKEN, it can fit in but it is shorter, the broken piece is there if you would like to try and repair it. The sign can still fit into the building to display it ,it is just a little shorter. It doesn't take away from the piece just want to mention it. Also included is included is Dickens himself getting a newspaper from a young paperboy. Even with the small flaw it would look great in your Dickens village. In 1846 ,Charles Dickens founded the Daily News. It waspurchased at an Estate Sale of a dept. 56 collector and has been stored in a smoke free home. The paper sleeve is clean but there is an X marked in ink on the front by the previous owner. Please check out the pictures and feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
