Diana, Princess of Wales(Diana Frances;néeSpencer; 1 July 1961– 31 August 1997), was the first wife ofCharles, Prince of Wales, whom she married on 29 July 1981.She was also well known for her fund-raising work for international charities and as an eminent celebrity of the late 20th century.
