1862 Certificate to Receive Pay at Time of Discharge
and Form No. 5 Pay Voucher

Edward E. Crandall

Private, Oneida CavalryCo.

Private Crandall was born in Bershire County, Massachusetts.In October of 1861, at age 42, Crandall volunteered for service.

He was discharged in March of 1862, for "Physical Disability".

The two pages were glued together years ago with a dot of mucilage glue
in the upper left corner. Aside from that, the documents are in good condition
with a few minor edge fold separations, and one longer separation (1-1.25")
on the lower left fold of the back document.

I will include with these two documents two extra items :

A print out from the New York Adj. General Report, giving Crandall's enlistment info.
and
A print out from my Fold3 subscription, showing the Veteran's Pension Index file
for Crandall, indicating his death January 22, 1898.

These last two items are NOT period documents,
they are provided simply to help pass along what I can find about Crandall.
