Liquidating my personal estate for health reasons, Since my obsession with Yosemite National Park and it\'s history, I have tried to acquire items related to the history and antiquities of Yosemite Valley and surrounding area. For your consideration I offer: \" Discovery Of The Yosemite and The Indian War Which Lead To That Event\" by L.H. Bunnell. I\'m assuming that persons interested in this item know what it\'s significance is so I\'ll only give a brief since one can\'t give this history justice in such a place. Simply, L.H.Bunnell was one of a group of mostly volunteer soldiers chasing a band of \"Native Americans\" because they had been causing a lot of trouble. The chase lead them into the magnificence of \"The Yosemite Valley\". Possibly or probably the first white man to set eyes on it. Of all the men L.H. Bunnell was most awed by it and posessed the talents to relate his experience to the world. This opened the door for James Hutchin and others to find their way to this wonder land. He is known as one of the discoverers of Yosemite Valley. This awesome book discribes the adventures in great detail and this revised edition is great because it displays some controversy between authors that needed to be adressed since first edition. Great stuff and a great addition to any collection.I\'d say this book is in pretty good shape for it\'s age. It\'s tight and intact with a couple binding issues that are pictured and a greeting in the front also pictured. The two very front pages inside the cover are stained as pictured.
