Disney Old Key West Studio 4 Night/5 Day Stay - Dream Season For Sale
The room I'm offering here is a studio at Disney's Old Key West resort, one of the Disney Vacation Club resorts. This is for a Sunday or Monday check infor one of the following weeks -February 2 or February 9 or May 4 or May 11 or May 18 or May 25 or June 1. This is a timeshare that I own. So you don't have to take a tour or anything like that; you will be going as my guest and nobody will know that you are not the owner unless you tell them.Studios includea kitchenette with microwave oven, under-counter refrigerator, coffee maker, and wet bar, an outdoor patio, nightstand, armoire, TV, table & 2 chairs, closet, and two queen-sized beds. The average studio is 376 square feet. Four adults maximum, plus one child underage three.
This sale is for a four night stay starting on a Sunday or a Monday during regular season (). Other weeks may be available but cost more. If you want a week outside the time offered that can be discussed however the cost will be higher. Disney will rent these Studio rooms for $350-$472 per night.
Old Key West is a beautiful property with four swimming pools (3 quiet pools plus a main pool with a water slide and a playground) and a nearby golf course that runs through the resort. The buildings are all three stories and most don't have elevators (so specify a first floor room if you have trouble with stairs). Parking is right outside the door; no valet parking is necessary or available. There is also a grocery store, game room, bike, surrey and boat rental, tennis courts, and of course a restaurant(Olivia's) and snack bar near the main pools.
Once you have your dates, email mebefore offerding! This is very important, unless you're flexible; many dates will be sold out, especially if you're trying to book something for the next couple of months. Let me know what dates you can go, and I'll tell you what's available.
After that, I can get you set up with the Disney Dining plan (Standard price: $55.59 per adult, and $17.16 per child (9 and under), per night; Deluxe price: $99.97 per adult, $26.84 per child as of January 1st, 2013) which will save you money on food. Go to this website for a good review of the Disney Dining Plan - I have used the Standard DDP and during Peak season I would plan to use it again and make my reservations as far ahead as I could. (Disney will let you reserve a table up to 180 days ahead - take advantage of that!). I personally think the Deluxe DDP is too much food and time in restaurants that could be spent on rides watching parades and other activities.
I use Disney Undercover Tourist - for discounts on tickets. They get as good a discount as you can get anywhere else without a timeshare presentation.
Of course, you still need to get to Orlando (actually Lake Buena Vista, which is south of Orlando). For that, I kayak- http://www.kayak.com/ - to find the cheapest flights. I would not wait until the last minute to book your flights since prices generally increase as your departure time approaches.
Kayak can also find you a rental car. However Disney has a program called Magical Express (which is free to all guests staying in Disney resorts) that will pick you up at the airport and bring you to your hotel and deliver your luggage to your room, and then bring you back to the airport at the end of the stay. Advantages of having a car are that it is quicker to drive around Disney World than it is to take Disney transportation, you won't have to get up as early to leave compared to taking Disney Magical Express, and you can go off property. Disadvantage of driving around is that you will have a longer walk from your parking spot that cost $15 or more per day to get to the park entrances (buses drop you off right in front), which will cause you to lose a good part of your time advantage. However, if you're planning on visiting other places on property besides the four main parks or outside Disney World, the advantages of having the car will probably outweigh the disadvantage.
OK, so back on subject: you win the sale, you email me your information, I'll book the room, you pay, I send you a copy of the confirmation in email (this usually takes a few weeks). Payment via Paypal is expected.
Cancellation policy: OK, here's where it gets complicated. Disney Vacation Club is a points-based timeshare. If you cancel your reservation more than 30 days before your check-in date, no problem; you will have full credit towards a future stay before March 30, 2014. If you cancel 30 days or less, you can only book a new date 30 days or less before your new check in date. Example: Say you have a reservation for February 1st and you cancel on January 15th. You now decide you want to go on March 15th. I can't start booking the March 15th stay for you until February 16th.
