Awesome original porcelain/bisque Disney Goofy figurine designed by Italian artisan Giuseppe Armani in 1998 and marked #1271C.Some of the most enduringly popular figurines that Giuseppe Armani created during his illustrious career were his sculpted recreations of classic Disney characters. Stylistically these were quite different from Armani's earlier sculptures where he had primarily adhered to more traditional Capodimonte and classical styles. With these sculptures Armani endeavored to recreate Disney's most beloved film characters as beautifully detailed three dimensional figurines while faithfully honoring Walt Disney's unique artistic style. The results were fantastically successful owing to Armani's tremendous skill and artistic vision. I will be listing a number of Goofy items for a friend whose mother passed away. This is an adult owned item and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or issues. This figure was displayed in a case since its purchase however the box and COA were not saved. It is a beautiful representation of the Walt Disney character with vibrant colors and great attention to detail. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
