We are pleased to offer this monumental 1931 Dominick and Haff sterling silver seven piece tea service.
Complete. Including matching kettle on stand with the original, hallmarked burner.
The set in classic ovoid form, slender, tapering to base and rim.
Applied cypher like initials as shown.
Well cast and fit gently domed covers. Topped with Georgian inspired melon and bell cap finial.
Equally well fashioned leaf cap paneled C-scroll handles.
The matching tea kettle with pierced rolling vine support arms. Secures the kettle perfectly. Original burner, with long slender handle controlling butterfly doors. For precise heat control.
The burner fits to support with a notch, for snug fit.
Beautifully cast and applied cypher like monogram appears to be PDB.
This elegant 1931 Dominick and Haff sterling silver teapot is 9 1/2 inches handle to spout and 29 1/2 standard ounces.
The kettle on stand is 12 1/2 inches tall and weighs 57 1/2 standard ounces.
The coffee pot is 10 inches handle to spout and weighs 34 1/2 standard ounces.
Creamer is 5 inches and weighs 10 standard ounces.
Sugar vase is 6 1/2 inches and it weighs 15 1/2 standard ounces.
The waste bowl 4 inches wide and with the sugar tongs weigh 11 1/2 standard ounces.
Exceptionally thick heavy guage sterling the service weighs 156 (standard) ounces.
Each piece full hallmarked.
