1950\'s handbag in excellent condition.
Lucite purse from Dorset Rex Fifth Avenue.
Beautiful silver basket weave box purse,
Gray marbleized top with clear lucite handle.
No dents, cracks or rust. Only surface scratches.
Pink, silk cloth interior does have some spots and some wear at the upper back by the piano hinge.
On the interior, worn but still legible is: Dorset Rex Fifth Avenue Design Pat. Pend..
One bottom corner on the exterior has the silk worn off.
I have not seen many of this style with this clasp.
Clasp and hinge are strong and secure.
Has the number #248683 on the bottom. I believe there are a some letters before the number but I can not read them.
Measurements:
9\" x 3 3/4\" (tapering down to 3 1/2\" at the bottom) x 3\" high.
