Aquite fabulousantiqueGeorgian piece. This cracking platehas a gadrooned border and is 5 lobed (sided).
Here we have aquite exceptionaland quite lovelysilver itemofexcellent gauge and weight.Hallmarksarevery good indeed bar makers' mark which is a littlepoorly struck though legible.
For reference of scale the actualplate is9.75 inches indiameter and 0.75 inch high. Hallmarked for London and dated1786-year letter l. Makersare RC DS RS-important makers Richard Carter,Daniel Smith and Robert Sharp. Definitely one for the collectors! Itis a truly wonderfullate 18th century antique lot well worth owning.
The condition is excellentand allit needs is to be used.
Thispiece isengravedwith a ducal (might be a baronet?) coronet above 2 quite lovely crests andalways hasbeen.Any information regarding the coronet is welcomed!
