If you love estate jewelry with the sparkle of diamonds and a vivid cabochon, you will definitely want to consider this charming ring. It\'s a knockout, very impressive in size and replete with sparkle. The 19 diamonds sizzle and have a total gem weight of approximately 40 points. They form the perfect counterpoint for the central oval purple cabochon with its gleaming smooth surface. I am not sure what the stone is but it fits right in to the dazzling design. The ring is a size 8 and weighs 6.2 grams. The top of the ring measures 7/8 of an inch by 3/4 inch and sits 1/2 of an inch above the finger. The band is a 5 wire construction with a birdcage gallery that lifts the gems up so that they catch and reflect the maximum sparkle possible. The setting is rhodium-washed palladium alloy which produces a non-tarnishing metal that is similar to white gold and was used during the world war when gold and platinum were needed for the war effort. A gorgeous jewel from the past, it will come in a sparkly pouch inside of one of my signature boxes, perfect for gift-giving.
