This is for afabulous old Victorian coin purse with its commemorative coin souvenir from London Earls Court still inside. The purse has an image of the fairground on one side complete with the impressive ferris wheel. The wheel was called the 'Gigantic Wheel' and was built for the Empire of India Exhibition. The coin inside also shows the wheel and on the back reads 'The Gigantic Wheel at Earls Court is 284feet in diameter and weighs about 90 tons, there are 40 carseach to carry 30 persons. From the top of the wheel about 300 feet,Windsor Castle is visible on the west'.Both the purse and the coin are inabsolute excellent condition with no damage, there is no damage to thepurse inside or out, even the silk has no wear, it looks unused. The coinmeasures 32mm (1.25") in diameter and the purse is68mm (2.75") by 50mm (2").
