Antique carved wood and polychrome decorated figure. I would say 18th century continental.The figure and base are made from separate pieces of wood. The figure is flat backed. Nice painted decoration. There is evidence of heat damage at the bottom with scorching and the paint bubbled. So either a fire or maybe something as simple as being set too close to a candle.
