S on any of this great, historical Americana!Abraham Lincoln Silverprint Photograph. A prohibitive photo (#O-11). This is a silver print cabinet card, the original being an ambrotype taken by WIlliam Judkins Thompson of Monmouth, IL on October 11, 1858. En-route to Quincy, Lincoln stopped in Monmouth, this portrait taken two days before the sixth debate with Stephen Douglas in Quincy.  Just before the ambro was made, Lincoln gave a three-hour speech to an enthusiastic crowd. The lean, picturesque lawyer from the backwoods was now a national figure. A rare study, the original now in the National Portrait Gallery.
