Early Revolutionary War Era Crude Wagon Wheel Type American Sword :
$315

Up for offer is a very early and very crude wagon wheel type sword. The sword appears to have been entirely blacksmith made. The sword measures 37 inches in total length with a 31.75 inch blade. The iron blade has several imperfections and some rust and appears to have been partially tinned at some point with a few small traces remaining in the crevices. The crude iron guard has 10 slots in it and appears to be an attempt at a wagon wheel type sword. The hardwood handle has brass accents nailed to it with period blacksmith nails and it also has a very neat tin ferrule. I am not exactly sure what I've got here, but the sword certainly shows serious age.

Thanks for looking and please be sure to view my other items for additional Militaria. Thanks
