ETCHED IN COPPER FOIL
by Ruth Freeman
8" X 10"
HARD TO FIND COPPER FOIL ART is shiny in its original medium like a newly minted penny. After etching a 3D Bronze Sculptured image of the drawing shines out like a newly minted copper 1 cent piece. Wood stain is applied to give the copper foil a vintage tarnished appearance much like a well worn tarnished copper cent.Using watercolor can create colorizations ranging from transparent tints to opaques. Depending on how the light reflects off the surface of the copper foil the many moods are splendidly communicated to those that muse over the presentation. Ruth Freeman's exhibits all of these traits. Ruth is currently involved in creating the Classic Monster series in Copper Foil Art where "ONLY THE MOST INSIGHTFUL COLLECTOR WILL APPRECIATE THESE NEARLY LOST TREASURES-TREASURES YOU"VE DISCOVERED AT MONARUTHRHOUSEGALLERIES!"
