This folder features the Easter Rising 1916 Commemorative Stamps issued in April 1966 and contains a set of eight mint stamps featuring the likenesses of P. H. Pearse, James Connolly, Thomas J. Clarke, Eamonn Ceannt, Sean MacDiarmada, Thomas MacDonagh, and Joseph Plunkett as well as the stamp commemorating the Rising itself. The Easter Rising stamp was designed by Edward Delaney while the stamps depicting the signatories of the Proclamation were designed by Sean O\'Sullivan, RHA, which were based on drawings submitted to the National Museum by Miss Madge Daly. Below that, it reads \"Stamping Branch, Office of the Revenue Commission, Dublin Castle, Price 6s\".The reverse side of that has at the bottom \"Designed by Raymond Kyne, Signa Design Consultants, Printed by Hely Thom Limited\". The information about the stamps is printed in both Irish and English. Stamps are hinged.
