ELEGANT!! 1930's ART DECO "Czech Signed" INTAGLIO CRYSTAL Glass GILT NECKLACE
Offered here is a SPECTACULAR example of an antique ART DECO "Czech" glass necklace..... signed "CZECHOSLOV" on the clasp, and estimated to be circa 1920/30's.
This is one of the most BEAUTIFUL Czech necklaces EVER!! It boasts a Large CRYSTAL glass jeweled pendant with HAND PRESSED edges and INTAGLIO floral designs. The jeweled pendant measures 1 5/8 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches tall....with a depth of 3/8 inch!! It is held within a finely serrated bezel and mounted on an EXQUISITE 3-Dimensional Gilt frame....with raised GRAPES and GRAPELEAVES along the edges.
The chain on this piece is absolutely FABULOUS!! It is comprised of flattened oval "Intaglio" CRYSTAL glass beads that are HAND-PRESSED with special pliers. These GORGEOUS beads alternate with small round faceted glass beads, and the closure is a spring ring clasp that is original to the piece....and fully functional. The metal is HEAVY GOLD GILT over Brass.
The necklace is quite a SENSATIONAL piece of jewelry and a BREATHTAKING piece.....SO.O.O.O ELEGANT on the neckline!!
It is a collar length of 15 1/2 inches....and it weighs a substantial 41 grams!!
This antique necklace is an EXCEPTIONAL Piece.... and a RARE FIND that is in NEAR PERFECT condition!! No flaws were found with the exception of a couple of small dots of darkening to the Gilt on the frame. It does look as if it were stored and RARELY WORN!! This would be a COVETED asset to any vintage/antique jewelry collection.
