Description Anice Englishantique solid sterling silver combination vesta and sovereign caseby the silversmiths William Neale Ltdand with full silver hallmarks for Chester 1903.Lovely quality examplewith a sprung hinged silver lid on the vesta and with a fully gilded interior. The sovereign case is also gilded and has a sprung push button lid opener and a sprung interior coin plate. Complete with original hallmarked silver bow, (ring). With handsome large gothic engraved monogram. Weighs 36 grams.Measurements Measures approx 3.25 inches (82mm) (including bow) x 1.2 inches (30mm) and is 0.5 inches (13mm) deep. Date AntiqueEnglishsolid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks forChester 1903(date letter "C"). Hallmarked in 5 separate places. MakerSilversmiths initials "W.N", (William Neale Ltd). ConditionFairly goodcondition, no repairs and both lidswork perfectly and have a good strong spring action. Has a seam split on the side and some denting, (see last photo for a close-up shot), a pretty easy repair to get done if wanted and well worth doing.The interior gilding is excellent and is completewith original silver bow.
