I've seensimilar selling in N.Y. Galleries for over $600.00. This is anAsian antique...Ican't say what it's origin or age is but I'd guess, Thai ( Sukothai ~Sukhothai~ Budha ~ Buddha ), Chinese, Japanese; possibly Cambodian. I've searchedunder Buddah, Budda, Budha, Khmer, Royal, talisman antiquity, Thailand, China, Japan, Cambodia, Laos, Tribal, Southeast Asia, walking, standing,monk, ayuthaya, angkor, Lord, period amulet, Phra, medicine, medicinal,antique era Buddhism, Buddhist, Hindu~ there are many opinions on thisout there. What I can say is thatthis is a interesting piece from a fabulousPhiladelphia collection of art and antiques, possibly 19th or 20th century. I'm not an expert on these sculptures but it appears to me to have someage. This could be an important piece; more research is needed.

I'm not an expert on Asian antiques, but this piece looks like it has some age and I believe it is early to mid 20th Century. Its a powerful sculpture that has a wonderful and serene presense.
