This is a FABULOUS ESTATE COCKTAIL RING that was made in the ART DECO style, post 1950, from PLATINUM. The ring is centrally-set with 1 NATURAL EMERALD that weighs approx. 3 ctw. This emerald is an EMERALD CUT that measures 9.68 x 6.76 x 5.19 mm and is of HIGH COLOR QUALITY. Emeralds are classified as TYPE III stones, meaning that theyalmost alwayshave inclusions that are visible to the unaided eye. Type III stones have4 clarity grades: \'Slightly Included\", \"Moderately Included\", Heavily Included\",and \"Severely Included\". Thisemerald would be graded between \"Moderately to Heavily Included\". The culet is off center, which you can see from the back, and it has one inclusion that reaches the surface hear the girdle, but you need magnification to see this.

The ring is also set with 72 BRILLIANT CUT DIAMONDS of H-I-J color, SI clarity that weigh approx. 1.0 ctw. The ring is detailed with 16 NATURAL BLACK ONYX that weight approx. .50 ctw. The onyx are rectangular shaped cabochon cuts that are channel-set. The head of the ring measures 3/4” long by 9/16” wide and it sits 5/16” high off the finger. The ring size is an 8 and the total weight is 7.6 grams. I feel like I have not captured this ring\'s beauty in the photos and will try to do better photos.
