A highly unusual earlier 18th century 8 day movement with pull wind cord drive.
Outside countwheel striking.
Half hour striking striking one stroke at the half hours.
Large 6 7/8” x 5 5/8” plates.

The movement is rather dirty and very tarnished but is structurally sound and in excellent condition. The rust to the steelwork is quite superficial particularly the pinions.
There is virtually no wear on the pinions.
The wheel trains run smoothly when pressure is applied to the great wheels
The movement is complete except for the backcock and bellstand.
The pallets with the movent I suspect or not original but are the correct span for the escape wheel and should function perfectly well.
No bell, dial or pendulum.
