COMMENTS: This exquisiteGerman fashion doll from the mid-19th century that has aged to abeautiful patina. Features include: cloth body, wooden lower leg with painted flat-heeled boots, wooden lowerhands with spoon-shaped hands, brown eyes and the remarkable hairnet thatcovers the molded hairstyle. Original dress and underclothing have intricatelace and a muted taupe that provides stark contrast to the vibrant colors ofher head. The way that she has aged and her expression combine to make this avery special doll! Of all the dolls I’ve seen from this era, this is the firstI’ve seen that truly belongs in a museum. It is a great specimen and piece ofhistory!
