Offered here is a GORGEOUS example of an antique ART DECO "Edwardian" styled LAVALIERE necklace……stamped “<H>” on the back of the pendant, and estimated to be circa 1910/20’s. Research shows this stamp is most likely for the Providence Stock Company out of Providence, RI....starting up c. 1890.

This is a HIGH END antique costume necklace that boasts a Large multi-faceted Powder Blue glass jewel that is set in FILIGREE. The glass jewel is held with four UNIQUE "BOW TIE" prongs and mounted on an EXQUISITE open backed, 3-Dimensional PIERCED FILIGREE frame…..adorned with three paste stones at the top and bottom.

The glass on this piece is UNIQUELY faceted…..displaying OPTIMAL Light Refraction which you can see in the 3rd photo!!

The pendant measures 1 1/16th inch wide by 1 7/8 inches tall…..suspending from a DAZZLING chain that is comprised of alternating Powder Blue and Clear Crystal ROUNDELS, strung on a metal chain. The closure is an ORNATE Floral Filigree box and hook clasp that looks original to the piece…..and it is RHODIUM over a base metal.

The necklace is an EXCEPTIONAL piece of costume jewelry from the ART DECO ERA…..and it is absolutely EXQUISITE!! It measures 16 ¼ inches long….with the lavaliere pendant adding another 2 7/8 inches to the length.

This is an ENCHANTING antique necklace that is EXCELLENT vintage condition!! Upon close inspection there are a few teeny-tiny nicks to the facets and also a small scratch on the back…..visible with magnification. There is also some crackling to the Roundels and slight wear to the edges....which is to be expected, as well as darkened paste stones....that is consistent with age. It would be an STUNNING asset to any vintage/antique jewelry collection.
