On offer is this authentic large antique Chinese Famille Rose tea jar

This piece is absolutely beautiful, the colours are vibrant, the design full and expressive, telling a story, as most do

This has been forever captured for posterity with a lovely textured glaze, reminiscent of the Miami period

There are four main panels plus the lid. 2 panels and the lid are domestic court scenes, the other panels contain crysanthamums, peonie’s, birds and butterflies.

The divisions between the panels and the lower and upper edges are adorned with peonies flowers, musical instruments and butterflies against a gold glaze background.

I have done my best to contain all of this in 12 photographs, however they do not do it justice

The jar is cylindrical and measures 123 mm in diameter x 150 mm in height including the lid.

The makers mark is stamped in red on the bottom of the jar.

This beautiful Chinese tea jar would comfortably show in any surroundings and would not look out of place whether it was in a modern or antique setting

The jar is both functional and ascetically pleasing and its being sold at a low starting price for a piece of this age and quality

The antique jar is in pristine condition, no cracks chips flecks and no obvious signs of restoration.

Considering the age of the jar there has been remarkably little age related wear and tear.
