Rare Early Georgian Sterling Silver Barrel Shaped Nutmeg Grater by John Turner ,Birmingham 1801.

Thisstylish barrel shaped nutmeg grater has beautiful pin prick decoration all around.

This top quality nutmeg grater is a true Georgian antique & 212 years old but still in nice condition and would shine in any nutmeg grater/silver collection.

This is a rare early example with unusual shape which would be a decent addition to any serious collection.

This highly collectible masterpiece has been offered with what so ever for your sterling silver hallmarks:

Birmingham 1801.

Maker: IT.John Turnerwho was registered in Birmingham between 1773 & 1801 and was specialised in making top quality silver Box, Caddy spoon and Nutmeg grater.

Top quality and rare early Georgian sterling silver barrel shaped nutmeg grater with stylish pin prick decoration all around.

The lid does unscrew to reveal its lift-out grater.

Its stylish and unusual barrel shaped has added more beauty to this masterpiece.

It was made from good gaugeof sterling silver.

This exquisite nutmeg grater has a supreme quality and is in nice condition after 212 years with only couple of pin size dents that even hardly can be seen in close inspection and just mentioned for accuracy.

There are No Hole/Split/Soldering what so ever.

Lid does screw and unscrew nicely.

Grater is in a very good condition and does fit nicely.There is no hallmark on the grater and therefore it might has been replaced in some stage in the past.

Width in the widest point : 2 cm / 0.8 inch

Total weight: 14 grams / 0.5 ounce
