This is one of the most beautiful pieces of 18th century embroidery I have ever come across, it dates to somewhere around 1750, maybe a bit earlier as some of the work and style harks back to the late 17th century. It is worked in unusual, delicate patterns and stitches in silk floss and fine metal threads on bright yellow silk.

It measures about 13.5\" by 4.5\" or 34 cms by 11.5 cms, the condition is: some wear commensurate with age but mostly good with some marks. the gold and silver metal threads have oxidised over time in places, see photos. A lovely piece for a collection, to be framed or conserved. Thank you for looking.
