THIS IS A STUNNING ANTIQUE CAMEO GLASS BOTTLE THAT LOOKS KIND OF LIKE A SNUFF BOTTLE BUT WAS LISTED IN THE FRENCH ESTATE FROM WHICH IT CAME AS BEING "A SCENT OF FRENCH MAKE" (AS A RULE SNUFF BOTTLES TENDED TO BE EITHER JAPANESE OR CHINESE BUT COULD HAVE BEEN MADE ABROAD)-IT IS BEAUTIFULLY WELL DONE WITH THE OUTER LAYER BEING A RICH TRANSLUCENT PLUM PURPLE GLASS THAT WAS CUT AWAY TO EXPOSE THE CRYSTAL CLEAR GLASS INNNER LAYER-IT MEASURES 3 5/16" TALL INCLUDING THE LID AND IT IS 1 1/8" IN DIAMETER AROUND THE WIDEST PART-THERE IS A BRANCH OF LOVELY CHERRY BLOSSOMS GLASS ENAMELED ON THE OUTSIDE IN RICH CINNABAR, BLUE, YELLOW, WHITE AND CORAL COLORS WITH HAND PAINTED ENAMEL DETAILS IN BLACK-THE STOPPER OR LID IS OF NATURAL CHERRY AMBER AND I LEFT IT AS I FOUND IT, BUT I AM NOT SURE IT IS ORIGINAL TO THE BOTTLE-WHATEVER THE CASE MAY BE, THIS IS QUITE A FINE PIECE OF CAMEO STYLE ART GLASS THAT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION---
