Listed here is a RARE German Seitengewehr 15 "S15 Gottscho" Combat Bayonet in practically unissued condition. This marvelous find was stored in a basement for many years until recently rescued from oblivion. The blade is clean and bright and shows no signs of ever being sharpened. The "Gottscho" Trade Mark is very legible as are the "K" and "S" marks, and the spine shows a solid "Crown-G" Proof Mark near the hilt. The single wood handle retains all of it's original finish and has virtually no dents, scratches or gouges. The locking-lug mechanism works like new. The Original Scabbard is armory complete and retains it's original black laquer paint, though it has rough spots throughout the finish from age and contact with dampness. The blade retaining springs are tight and the interior of the scabbard still holds evidence of hardened packing grease which still coats some of the blade.
