Early - Colorful - Graphic - Parker Gun - Advertising Trade Card - Meriden, Ct For Sale
Up for sale is a Hard to Find trade card that advertises "The Parker Gun - Manufactured By Parker Bros. Meriden, Conn." Connecticut and pictures the intricately engraved triggerarea of a double barreled shot gun in the upper right corner and gentlemen on a shooting range, trap shooting,using their Parker Guns. The lithographer is identified as "J. Ottmann Lith. Co. Ky." in the bottom right corner. It appears as though this is a private shooting range as it also pictures a mansion in the distance with sail boats on the lake and spectators seated under a canopy next to the range. This card must have once been adhered to a page in a scrap book as evidenced by the extra paper on the back. You might be able to soakit off or something as I have heard of it being done. It looks like someone tried to just remove some of it and it took some of the actual back of the card off as well creating a couple 'thins'. This card measures approx. 5 3/4" x 3 5/8" and has no other issues other than the above mentioned.
