Early 1800s Antique Treen Treenware Wooden Bowl Turned Tapered Foot New England:
Handsome antique treenware bowl, American, early-to-mid 19th century, turned hardwood tapering circular foot with incised bands, slightly flaring lip, 4-1/4" in diameter at the rim by 3-1/4" tall. Small old partial radial drying crack to foot; a few small, tight superficial age checks to body (not penetrating walls); mild surface wear; otherwise very good, attractive condition overall, with rich, pleasing reddish-brown patina.
A striking example of distinctive. Found in south central New Hampshire.
