Early 1900s THE RICE HOTEL Silver SERVING DOME Reed & Barton

Offered for sale is this very unusual Reed & Barton silverplated serving dome which was made for the historic Rice Hotel in Houston, Texas. I'm not sure of the timeline but expect that it dates to the first quarter of the twentieth century. The dome is 4 1/2" high and 6" across. Itis decorated withan applied shield--hard to see but looks like it has a "Lone Star". The interior is marked "Reed & Barton Silver Soldered 0194-H THE RICE". This piece is in very good estate condition with no damage or repairs found. It has not been polished and has a nice old patina. There is no apparent plate loss.Overall a really nice example for any collection! The cost of U.S. insured shipping and very careful packing varies with your postal zone--see estimate above.
