Early 1930's Hammond Skyscraper "gregory" Calendar Bakelite Electric Clock :
Perfect "chip" and Crack" free body! good safe to use power cord, and smooth quiet running motor. This clock must be "hand started" by slow turning a "start knob" in the back. Clock keeps the "day" and "date"correctlyas well. Dial and glass are also perfect!
Bakelite, was America's first hard plastic. It came in only black and brown. Due to it's brittle body, many quickly got these cracks and chips. Perfect examples are very highly collectable, and getting harder to find.
Clock is almost 7 inch tall and 6 inch wide. The Hammond Company was very famous for it's Hammond Organs. More about this company is available by clicking this site
