Believe this was carried by women to protect them selves or to keep their purity (virginity) in case by committing suicide.

I have couple of pure silver ones just like this and those are called EunJangDo (literally meaning silver knife, Eun = Silver JangDo = what we call a knife carried

by women in Korean) but I don\'t know what you would call this since this was made of brass. Very nice dagger(JangDo) for anyone collecting daggers or knife.

On the side of dagger case is a 5.5\" L stick for additional protection.
