This early 20th century Limoges trinket Box celebrates the start of the French Revolution in 1789. The lid is hand painted with twin standards of the Tri-Colore and a drum with green leaves; all symbols associated with the Revolution.The base is stamped with the green printed Limoges mark under glaze along with “Décor Main” for “hand-painted”. It has nicely patinaed ormolu fittings. It is in excellent condition with no damage or faults to report.
