Early High Grade Pin-plated Shelf Cuckoo Clock Movement:
Here is an Early High Grade Pin- Plated Wind Up Cuckoo Clock Movement. I am guessing it was in a shelf cuckoo or trumpeter clock. It was very well made with 1/8" thick polished brass plates and thick gears. It measures 4-3/4" wide x 5-1/2" tall x 2" deep plate to plate. The arbors measure 2-3/8" winder to winder and 1-3/4" from hands arbor to winder. The spring barrels and wheels are heavy polished brass and extremely well made. The strike side is functioning but the time spring slips when winding so it will need to be repaired. I've not had it apart but it appears to look like a common spring. I'm assuming it to be an eight day movement by the size of the barrels and springs. The only markings I see is the number 12 stamped on both plates. I am only offering this item to US buyers only. Ask any questions and thanks for looking!
