Presented is a beautiful sterling silver French hallmarked hand hammered silver wine taster with detailed serpent decoration beneath a ring handle.This great high finish piece is hallmarked for silver made in Poitiers thecapital of Vienne c1774-80. It has a great gadroon basin with an artfullycrafted light engraved letters on the side of P. Roturau. It is in beautiful condition with many minor dings and some fine scratches from gentle use and care. This is a funpiece for the wine connoisseur as well as a great piece for thecollector of fine antique silver.
