LENZKIRCH CLOCK in DRESDEN PORCELAIN CASE

Measures Approx: 13 3/4 Inches Tall

Base Approx: 4 5/8 x 7 1/2 Inches

Estate Fresh to you! We are please to offer you this absolute stunning & rare mid 1800's German clock encased in Dresden Porcelain. The floral detailing alone is amazing......we believe you'll agree.

* Clocks & Works: Rare German Lenzkirch Gong mantle clock with Gong. Stamped with the trademark that dates the movement somewhere between 1875-1878. It also bears a serial namer as shown beginning with the number 8.

It has a glass door on the front and the back. Please note that the hinges may need a little adjustment, as the doors tend to stay open a little at times, we do not see any type of "closure" it seems as though they were made to fit and over the years have become a little off. Clock is also a little loose from case.

We are including the key and pendulum, as found outside of the clock, we are unsure if they are original. Please note that the clock is being sold untested, without guarantee of working condition. We have no reason to believe that it does not work, but due to quirks in antique clocks and bumps in shipping this is our policy.

*The Case: Beautiful porcelain case of hand painted orange, white and gold details. High relief roses, poppies, carnations, pansies, leaves and berries.......just breathtaking. The case is marked with a Three Prong Crown over a capital Cursive D, in researching we believe that this is the marking of Helena Wolfsohn Dresden 1843-1878.

As with all antique porcelain it does have some condition issues which are mostly the usual stress marks due to the weight. On the underside, inside as shown, also a hairline at the top arch on the inside which does not extend outward, very small stress line back right leg. The only visible (barely) line is at between 12 & 1 at the very top where the embellishments start. Please also allow for some minor loss in the flowers.

This clock is a stunner! We are offering this in a seven day only, low reserve sale.
