You\'re offerding on an early Roseville Pottery novelty nip bottle...satire and scatology, a perfect accompaniment to a wee dram...in as-is condition. From a local estate...see our seller\'s list for more fresh finds. Rodin\'s \"Thinker\" was enlarged in 1904 and its subsequent, new-found fame prompted many a joke. This ape wearing a top hat, deep in thought and seated on a chamber pot may be one of them. Height is about 5-5/8\". No identifying marks. Shiny green glaze on buff-colored clay. The condition is as-is. There is a tiny chip on the lowest brim edge of the hat front and center and an old hairline crack...it looks just like a slightly heavier craze line...running from the monkey\'s left foot to the back of the chamber pot. On that stable line there are a couple of very small losses of glaze...but in truth you may never notice it. Some clear crazing.
