Early English Staffordshire Sitting Spaniel Dog Figure with Bocage circa 1820

2 1/2\" across the base ~ about 3 1/4\" to top of bocage

A small and fine early Staffordshire figure of a dog sitting resting against a tree of finely molded leaves and flowers all carefully colored in enamels in mostly green and bright turquoise with red, yellow and blue flowers. The dog has large brown spots and his face is detailed in black.

Please keep in mind when viewing the enormous pics in the gallery that the figure is 3\" high; there are several chips to the bocage flowers and chips to the base rim. His tail has some white touch up and there is slight rub to his nose. That may seem like a lot of damage for a tiny figure but I guarantee his charm in your collection makes up for it.
