What an excellent collector item! This solid hard wood Moaikavakava / Rapa Nui was hand carved in the early first quarter of 1960\'s. TheMoai measurements are: approximately 10inches in height, 2 inches wide and 3 inches deep

Additional note: Wood to carve this collector’s item by theislanders was not available. The island was essentially cleared of all timber.The hard wood to hand carve this figure was provided by my friend on specialassignment on the island in early 1960. Payment for the carved figure wasbartered with candy and soft drinks. Very few where carved in 1960 . Withthat being stated, this is really a collector’s item!!
