Stein made in what used to be \"Western Gemany\" by Eckhardt and Engler, denoted on the bottom by the back to back E\'s with an H just beneath. There is also a number \"4\" on the bottom. The phrase \"Auf der Alm,da gibs ka Sund\" is supposed to translate, and correct me if I am wrong, to \"on the Alps, there is no sin\". The stein is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The lid is also in excellent condition. The number 493 which is supposed to be the mold number is imprinted on the side opposite the handle. A beautiful stein all the way around.
