I believe packing items, properly/safely, for shipping is of utmost importance and the ethical obligation of the seller. My packing techinques are very simple but smart, I package items to ship with GREAT care, something I wish all sellers would follow through with. I will double box when I think it is necessary, this will be stated in the sale depending on the fragility of the item being sold. At times, when shipping a lamp, I will have to ship the shade in a separate box, the cost will be reflected in the sale. I have never had a customer complaint about a broken item received, however, there is always a slight chance of breakage, once again I recommend insurance on fragile items.
