Items in this lot offer a retrospective history of Ted Kennedy\'s uneasy flirtation with presidential ambition, including an early 1972 jugate that features his good friend and Senate colleague, Birch Bayh as a prospective presidential running mate. Bayh had pulled Ted from the burning wreckage of a 1964 light plane crash that nearly killed them both.
Other notable items include a broad sampling from1980, the election Ted got closest to becoming president.
A rare 1976 teal & brown word pin and a striking photo pin from 1984 round out the collection.Celluloid and lithograph pins range in size from 7/8-inches to 2 1/4-inches.
