Edwardian/Art Deco Cherry Amber Bakelite Knotted Necklace - 29.7gr
A stunning cherry amber oval bead necklace comprising graduated knotted beads leading to a gold colour metal barrel clasp.
I believe these to be Art Deco in age - they came from a local estate clearance. Please look at the photo's to view the depth of colour - so rich.
They have been simichrome tested - please see photo's. There are no chips or cracks to these.
I believe them to have been re-strung at some point - not recently. This is a wonderful vintage necklace that will certainly make a statement. Approximate weight is 29.7 grams.
Approximate length is 20". Approximatemeasurements of the largest bead is 1" in length with a width of 5/8" (15.87mm) at the longest and widest points. We are offering signed for postage only.
I have not cleaned this due to many requests for vintage jewellery to be left in it's original condition. Vintage jewellery will almost always show signs of wear.
I have tried to describe this as accurately as possible but if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for looking and please check out our other items.
Happy offerding and have a great day :-)
Message from seller:
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: We post all our items with Royal Mail - goods are dispatched ONLY on weekdays - if this message is dated on a weekend or bank holiday your goods will be sent the NEXT WORKING DAY. (Between Christmas and New Year goods might sometimes take a little longer) PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A STANDARD INFORMATION MESSAGE SENT TO ALL OUR BUYERS INTENDED TO HELP IF GOODS ARE DELAYED - NOT A PERSONALISED MESSAGE TO YOU ONLY....
Once goods are in the hands of Royal Mail there is no way of us or you tracking them without paying £6+ for one of their premium services from the outset. Your goods certainly SHOULD arrive in the next few working days - over 95% certainly do as all the "speedy delivery" type comments in our response record testify. IF THEY DO NOT ARRIVE WITHIN 7 WORKING DAYS please contact (or ideally visit because many are often useless at answering the phone) YOUR LOCAL ROYAL MAIL DELIVERY/SORTING OFFICE.
If delivery was attempted but you were not in, they SHOULD leave a card, but experience has taught us they SOMETIMES DO NOT LEAVE A CARD and the goods sit on their shelves awaiting recipient contact - unbeknown to the recipient! They only hang on to undelivered goods for about two weeks, so please don't leave it too long.
If it all goes horribly wrong we WILL help, but please understand the above information; it is supplied because we do our best to help buyers on the odd occasion that things don't go as well as they should with Royal Mail. If you should still need to contact us please use MESSAGES for a response - or email. Thank you for your understanding, Sarah and Kev
