Nobel Prize winning
physicist and humanitarian. One of the worlds great conceptual
revisors of mans understanding of the universe. Spectacular 8x10
photograph, upper body portrait, signed in full in bright green ink
by Einstein with the year 1935. Outstanding glimpse of soft and
radiant Einstein that captures his intensely spiritual nature. Arthur
Johnson, a young , talented, innovative photographer had developed a
unique gold-toned process which preserves this photograph practically
forever. Included with this portrait is a copy of a letter that
Einstein wrote to the photographer thanking him for the photograph
and giving the photographer the right to dispose of the photographs
any way he wished. This photograph had been kept safely by Johnson
for over 50 years. The condition of the photograph and signature are
absolutely mint and incredibly fresh. Because of the green ink the
signature does not show up properly on the full shot, the signature
and date are bold and prominent.
The current owner of this
piece is Barry Bostwick, a well known actor who has been in
mini-series & made for TV movies & also won a Tony Award on
Broadway. He has been the only owner of this piece for the last 23
years & purchased it personally from the Johnson estate in 1990.
It is professionally
framed and preservedin pristine condition.
