Elk Drink Lehnert's Beer Early 1900's Pre Prohibition Tip Tray For Sale
Drink Lehnert's Beer Tip Tray Early 1900's
Drink Lehnert's Beer Tin Litho Tip Tray early 1900's, Made in Catasauqua, PA. Found in the attic of an old farmhouse. This beautiful pre prohibition tip tray is over 100 years old, it is brand new old. The tray is 4 1/4" in diameter. The beautiful litho depicts an Elk with mountains & sunset in the background. Bottom of the tray is marked: 11 (in a circle) and has AAW in a crest, no date on this one. The tray is in excellent condition, viivid colors and shows minor signs of wear, it does have the slightest crease on the lower left of the elk (or you can see it better in the back of the tray photo at the very top right corner) also very light crazing. To evaluate the condition independently, please see all detailed photos. Charles L. Lehnert born in 1867, was a native of Germany and followed in the footsteps of his father a brewer. Lehnert emigrated to New York in 1895 and later attended the New York Brewing Academy. He married Seraphina Vogt in 1897 and they had two children Hilda & Elsie. Lehnert purchased the Catasauqua Brewery in 1906. My description is honest and to the best of my ability, so please ask any and all questions prior to offerding.
