These are specially designed for an EMG artist that I cannot name (though they are VERY well known WORLDWIDE and reside in the SF Bay Area) and are currently endorsed by EMG. After the sale if you want to contact me, I will call you and tell you who they are. But they are the only metal band that has played in Antarctica :-)
These are the EXACT Spec\'d pickups that were put into the main guitarist\'s guitar for his shows and recording when he was working with EMG to come up with his signature pickup.These pickups are definitely different than his production model pickups which are currently available on the market. I\'ve been able to compare both and these open pole pups have a little bit more bite to them. I found them to be more balanced tonally and had clearer notes when the gain was turned all the way up.
This EMG-81 Pickup is GOLD with Les Paul style.
A total of 5 are available and once they are gone they are GONE.These are designed like a Les Paul pickup with large pole pieces showing but have that EMG punch to them and man do they sound good!!!
