English Georgian 18th-Century Oak Highboy Cabinet on Stand:

Purchased in Carlisle, Pennsylvania about twenty years ago as a William and Mary Highboy. Having owned it for many years I believe that the stand is a restoration/reconstruction with original legs but a new top base to hold the chest. The chest itself is probably Georgian rather than William and Mary, but the patina, condition, overall drama of this piece of furniture has made it a joy to own. Note the inlaid bureled wood on the drawers. Won\'t work for our new home in California, so we have to part with it. Base and chest are separate pieces for easy handling/moving.
