We are pleased to offer this important early George III dish cross.

Crafted in 1763.

Making it one of the earliest known examples.

Waldron dates an extremely plain example as the earliest known c1760 See Images).

This much more ornate style not often observed till c1780 (See Below).

The dish cross with classic inverted pear burner with swirl fluting floral decoration and beaded edge cover.

The four revolving arms with pierced leaf petal supports rising from tapering acanthus and flower head mount. They slide to and from center for varying size plates for warming.

Tapering acanthus and shell leg to petal and bead pierced leaf tip feet.

This important early George III sterling silver dish cross is 13 1/2 inches and 26 1/2 standard ounces.

Hallmarked as shown to burner, supports and arms.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina. Stands perfectly even on shelf. Supports move freely. Cover tight to base.
